Manchester United somehow managed to turn around a 2-0 deficit against Crystal Palace on Monday night, largely thanks to Romelu Lukaku once again.
However, the Red Devils as a whole didn’t put in the best of performances, with Alexis Sanchez struggling in particular.
Perhaps the Chilean is just trying too hard, or maybe he’s still working out exactly where he fits into Jose Mourinho’s tactics.
Sure, sometimes it takes time for a player to adjust and adapt, but you have to be worried about Sanchez’s form at this point in time.
He misplaced over 30 passes during a 90-minute match against an opposition that he should be dominating, and going into a huge game against Liverpool on Saturday, the manager must be considering dropping the former Arsenal man.
Perhaps stepping away from the limelight may do him some good, but you just know the media would have an absolute field day if Mourinho made the bold decision to drop him when Liverpool visit Old Trafford.
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how this one plays out, but for now, we’ve compiled some fan reaction to Sanchez’s poor display against Palace.
Absolutely abject from United, Pogba and Sanchez especially. Sanchez has been deeply average since joining.

Forget Pogba, all I’ve seen Sanchez do since join United is throw his arms about in frustration, misplace passes and post Instagram stories of his dogs set to 1980s American pop music.

If Sanchez is on a reported £500k p/w, how much should De Gea ask for?

It's been six weeks since Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United and the best he's played has been on that piano.#CRYMUN

Frustrating as it may be at times, I can forgive Sanchez’s wastefulness because he’s always plugging away, never stops moving, and is constantly trying to create in an #MUFC side often bereft of imagination

Does Sanchez think he’s playing for arsenal he’s having a stinker

You know what…
Rashford may be better than Sanchez.
