Manchester United may have been sweating on the fitness of a few players ahead of this weekend’s derby game against City – however, it looks as though those problems won’t come into effect after all, as the guys in question all look to have overcome any concerns.
That’s according to the usually reliable injury experts, Physio Room. The injury website are usually pretty accurate when it comes to players being available, and today, they have both Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan listed as available for this weekend’s game against City.
This will be a major boost for Jose Mourinho, in particular, Luke Shaw as he has been playing brilliantly at the start of this season. There was also a worry regarding Marouane Fellaini and his back, but he managed to come through Belgium’s game unscathed earlier on this week.
The only issue we have to worry about now is the state in which Antonio Valencia arrives back from Ecuador in. The right-back doesn’t land in Manchester until Friday morning which is obviously a problem – but the coaches will assess him thoroughly and see if he is able to play.
