Manchester United get hugely positive injury update before Manchester derby

Manchester United have been given some brilliant injury news as they prepare to take on Manchester City in the derby.

Jose Mourinho is only missing one first-team player, with Sergio Romero being the only Red Devil that didn’t change. Both Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian returned to the mix on Friday, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Romero aside, the situation is set for Mourinho. He has a full squad of players at his disposal, and this is his chance to prove Manchester United are capable of going toe-to-toe with the best in the country.

He can pick whatever side he wants, play whatever formation he so chooses and there can simply be no excuses this time, particularly as United have had a week to prepare, whereas City have only had a couple of days.

The fact that our squad is pretty much fully fit going into the business end of the season is massive. Sure, the Premier League title is gone but there is still an opportunity for silverware in the FA Cup. It’s certainly not going to be easy, however, with United heading to Wembley Stadium to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final.
