Paul Pogba has returned to Manchester United training following illness, reports the Daily Mirror.
Furthermore, the report adds that the 24-year-old midfield maestro will feature in Wednesday’s game against Sevilla; and what a match we have in prospect.
The most expensive signing in United’s history missed the Red Devils’ trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, but it seems as though it was only a minor bug or virus, with Pogba fit and raring to go as the team gear up for their Champions League last sixteen clash.
Champions League knockout rounds are something else, and I cannot wait for this two-legged tie against a simply excellent team. Having Pogba back is a huge boost, and I’d love to see him in a three-man midfield alongside Nemanja Matic and Michael Carrick.
It’s a formation that served Pogba so well during his time at Juventus, and if United had that quality third option, I’m sure we would have seen it deployed far more often. But, in tricky away games where the midfield battle is oh so important, I genuinely don’t think that Jose Mourinho has any other option but to play the 4-3-3.
