Manchester United just cannot catch a break at the moment, with Jose Mourinho’s side losing another game in poor manner over the weekend. Things don’t get any easier either, with Pep Guardiola bringing his Manchester City side to Old Trafford for the second time of the season.
However, the noisy neighbours themselves aren’t in the greatest of form, and they could be missing their star man in Kevin de Bruyne, which is an absolutely huge blow.
Guardiola confirmed the news earlier today, whilst speaking to Sky Sports. He also added that Pablo Zabaleta is out missing, although Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero are in contention to start.
Although like us, City have an embarrassment of riches at their disposal, the absence of De Bruyne will certainly hit them hard. Manchester United will have to take advantage of that, and be at the absolute top of their game to right a few wrongs from the last derby.
If we play like we did in the second half against them last month then we’ll have no problems whatsoever, but we have to get at them and put them under pressure early.
