Manchester United handed boost as key duo return to training ahead of Fenerbahce game

Manchester United were hit with some disappointing news over the weekend, when both Anthony Martial and Morgan Schneiderlin were ruled out of the away game against Liverpool FC due to them both picking up minor knocks and injury concerns.

However, there is some better news regarding the pair today, as Stu Mathieson, who works for the MEN, says that they were both back in full training ahead of the visit of Turkish side Fenerbahce.

At times, you felt like Manchester United were lacking in any real cutting edge and finesse going forward against Liverpool, and that’s where Anthony Martial would’ve come in and made a real impact.

The French striker hadn’t really got going this campaign until scoring that stunning strike at home to Stoke City before the international break. Hopefully, he can kick on from here and cement his place in the side.

Morgan Schneiderlin has been a bit of an issue since signing for United. We all know just how capable he is as a holding midfielder, but we haven’t really seen enough of him to judge. If Jose opts for a three in midfield, then you have to look at Schneiderlin as the back four protector, but he’ll have to work hard to displace Marouane Fellaini.
