Manchester United handed huge triple injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash: report

This weekend, Liverpool visit Old Trafford in a crunch game against Manchester United (for both clubs).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to stop the rot at United, while Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are looking to end a long wait for a Premier League title.

Here at Old Trafford Faithful, we’ve been saying that this international break could provide welcome relief on the injury front. Well, that may now be true…

The story comes from the Daily Mirror, who on Monday stated that United are set to be handed a huge triple injury boost – with three key players set to return for the game against the Reds’ arch-rivals.

First up, Paul Pogba is in line for a return as he has missed recent weeks with an ankle problem. Then you have left-back Luke Shaw who has been nursing a hamstring issue. Finally, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is looking likely to be involved – firming up that right-hand side of the defence.

There’s another little snippet, too, with Anthony Martial ‘understood to be in contention’ to make the match-day squad this coming Sunday.

United need all the help they can get at this point in time and to have some super-important players back in the mix is absolutely crucial. Hopefully, these guys all start, play well and give us a much-needed lift as the Reds look to turn their season around.
