Manchester United’s defence of the newly-renamed Carabao Cup couldn’t have gone any better. Jose Mourinho has to be thrilled at the fact that his side stuck four past Burton Albion, and got their name in the hat for the fourth round of the trophy.
No sooner had the final whistle blew, the draw had been made. Next up, an away game at Swansea City in mid-October. This is sure to be a potential stumbling block, because, on their day, Paul Clement’s men are capable of an upset.

With that in mind, we did absolutely thump them earlier on in the season out in Wales, as we beat them 4-0. Cup football is completely different, however, and no doubt the self-proclaimed Special One will be naming a weakened team in order to allow his main stars to remain fresh for Premier League football.
Before then, we have a whole host of difficult fixtures across the Premier League and Champions League. At this stage of the season, it’s about taking each game as it comes and trying to keep racking up the wins, whilst not picking up too many injury concerns. Touch wood, we’re doing alright so far.
