Manchester United have already identified Louis van Gaal’s ideal replacement

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal has done exactly what has been asked of him so far, returning Champions League football to Old Trafford whilst drastically improving the playing squad as a whole.

The Iron Tulip has a three-year deal at Old Trafford, and has vowed to retire after that spell due to his age. According to The Mirror, Manchester United have already identified his successor, they want Pep Guardiola at the helm.

Guardiola won all there was to win in Spain before moving to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and attempting the same. Despite league successes, the Bavarian crowd aren’t sold on Guardiola and he could be moving on in the not too distant future.

Manchester United would certainly interest the former Spain midfielder, and he would be rewarded with a huge weekly wage, as well as a big transfer budget to mould the squad in his image.
