Manchester United Football Club haven’t had the best of starts to the season in the Premier League, with Jose Mourinho’s men dropping more points at the weekend at home to Burnley. One man who hasn’t really featured so far is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, which led to doubts about his future here.

However, according to the guys over at Squawka, Manchester United have no intention of parting with their intelligent Armenian attacker. They also add that the 27-year-old is doing what he can to impress Jose, by coming in to train on his day off – proving that he has what it takes to make it in the Premier League.

This is the perfect thing to do if you are Mkhitaryan. He has to do whatever it takes to work his way back into the team, and doing some extra training can only be a good thing. It’ll improve his sharpness if nothing else, and it shows his dedication to the cause and his desire to play.

Who knows, perhaps he will get his big opportunity against Fenerbahce on Thursday night. It’d be a good starting point for him…
