Manchester United secured their first win in four outings against Everton, with Jose Mourinho’s side getting back on track.
However, the game could be marred by an apparent injury suffered by Anthony Martial, reports The Metro.
Shortly after scoring a scintillating goal to give the Red Devils a deserved lead, Martial collided with the advertising boards, and was pictured clutching his arm. Minutes later, the 22-year-old was substituted as the arm was seemingly bothering him, and then after full-time, he was still holding the arm as the pain remained.
Hopefully, this isn’t anything serious or an issue that’ll keep him out for a prolonged period of time, but if he cannot move it, he simply won’t be able to play.
When you factor in that both Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are currently out injured, it certainly presents Mourinho with a problem. Our front line looks very thin all of the sudden, and if Martial is out, the only striker that we’ll have fit is Marcus Rashford…
Thankfully, our next game is against Derby County on Friday night, then we’ve another week before we play again, so that gives our injured players some time to recover and get themselves back involved.
