Manchester United hope to seal Sami Khedira deal ahead of Arsenal

Manchester United are hopeful of securing a deal for World Cup winner Sami Khedira, beating the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to his signature. The 27-year old is desperate to leave Real Madrid due to his lack of playing time, and according to the Daily Star, Manchester United are in pole position at the current time.

Manchester United are prepared to offer Khedira higher wages than both Chelsea and Arsenal, with the latter only willing to sign Khedira if he agree sot take a pay cut. He currently earns around £150,000-a-week, and Louis van Gaal is willing to up his wages to around £200,000-a-week if he comes to Old Trafford.

The deal could happen as early as January, with Khedira currently sat on Madrid’s bench week-in week-out due to the signing of Toni Kroos and the superb performances coming from Luka Modric.

I’d like Khedira at United, but I’m not sure where he would play. Our midfield three of Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria is working excellently at this moment in time, so why change something thats doing so well. It would be nice to have the strength in depth though…
