Manchester United hopeful of signing De Gea replacement

Manchester United Football Club could yet lose David de Gea this window, as Real Madrid are prepared to offer £29million for the Spaniard – an offer which should be enough to prise the 25-year old away from Old Trafford with just a year left on his current contract.

According to The Independent, Manchester United are hopeful of landing Jasper Cillissen as a replacement for De Gea, before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday.

Cillissen, 26, has worked with Van Gaal at international level and has been an Ajax regular recently, but I’m not quite sure he’s anywhere close to David de Gea’s level at this moment in time – despite being a year older.

Real Madrid will have to work fast to secure the signature of De Gea however,  with the Spanish transfer window closing at 6pm tomorrow, as opposed to the English deadline of 6pm on Tuesday.

Cillesen is NOT the right replacement for De Gea!!!
The only one who is, is…. Hugo Lloris!!
Lloris has proved time and again how good he is and if United really do have money to throw around as it seems they do, then throw it at Tottenham!
Offer them £35M and I’m sure they will take it BUT it is far too late now as there is no time for Spurs to find a replacement meaning Van Gaal will have to manage with who he has got!
