Manchester United Football Club come back with a potentially tricky home game against West Brom this coming weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men looking to continue their climb up the table. The game was never going to be easy, and it’s already been made much tougher…
Earlier on in the week, we learnt that both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have been ruled out with injury problems, and now we’ve been hit with a third potential blow.
Marouane Fellaini has been ruled out of Belgium’s next international friendly, when they take on Russia tomorrow. According to Sky Sports News, the Red Devil has a toe injury.
Although the extent of the injury hasn’t been revealed, this could present Joe Mourinho with a real issue. Don’t forget that Ander Herrera is suspended for the WBA match, and we’re still waiting to hear about the fitness of Paul Pogba after he picked up that hamstring issue against FC Rostov.
If Fellaini is ruled out of that game against Pulis’ WBA, that means we could only have the one senior midfielder available; in the form of Michael Carrick. This could be a pretty serious issue, particularly with games now coming thick and fast as we enter the business end of the season.
