Manchester United legend desperate for top job, says reliable source

The future of Louis van Gaal is certainly up in the air at this point in time, however he is still set to meet the media tomorrow, ahead of Manchester United’s crucial clash against Stoke City on Boxing Day.

Andy Mitten, one of the most well sourced journalists when it comes to Manchester United has had his say on the situation, and he claims that Ryan Giggs is desperate to land the biggest managerial job in football.

“Giggs wants the job and those who know him well are convinced he’s got what it takes to be a top manager, but with United in free-fall, the club might decide it’s too much too soon and go for experience,” Andy Mitten wrote.

He’s right, and personally I feel it is probably just too soon for the Welshman. I’d much prefer him to take on a job elsewhere first, and gain some much-needed experience despite how well he knows the club.
