Manchester United legend says club need new manager

Manchester United put in a significantly better performance against Stoke City last night, but that hasn’t stopped Rio Ferdinand suggesting United should get rid of Louis van Gaal and bring someone new in now that Guardiola to City is confirmed.

“When someone like Pep becomes available, MUFC should have gone for him. We’ve to climb up the table and bring someone new in.” Rio Ferdinand said.

Whilst every Manchester United fan would have loved Pep Guardiola to come in as our new manager, it was never going to happen. City have had a deal in place for the Spaniard for months, hence why United didn’t even bother entering the market for him.

At this point in time it looks like Louis van Gaal is going to get until the end of the season at the very least, so lets back him until May and see what happens from then.
