Manchester United will once again have plenty of money to spend this summer, whoever the man in charge may be. That huge war chest will once again be utilised, with plenty of money seemingly set aside to land one of the biggest talents on the planet.
According to The Sunday Times, Manchester United are locked in a battle to land Benfica midfielder, Renato Sanches. The 18-year old, who is also being targeted by Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid, is making great strides out in his homeland and is attracting the highest of interest.
The Times go on to say that the man from Portugal is valued at around the £39million mark by Benfica, who’ll also be looking for various bonuses and add-ons on top of that fee.
As always, spending huge amounts of money on pure talent is always a risk. It can either turn out like Anthony Martial, or Memphis Depay, and with an astronomical transfer fee involved it just heaps more pressure on the player himself.
Sanches is an attacking midfielder with the capabilities of playing all across the front line, and he has already been recognised by his country, whom he has two caps for at just eighteen.
