Manchester United looking to offload £300,000-a-week man next summer

Manchester United have a real situation on their hands with captain Wayne Rooney, with the Englishman struggling to find any real for at the start of this season. The now 30-year-old has come in for criticism from both England and United fans, and you have to say, rightly so too.

According to reports, Wayne Rooney is a man who could well be in the firing line when the summer transfer window opens as Jose Mourinho looks to overhaul the squad and keep moulding it to suit his particular playing style.

The Englishman is being touted by clubs from America playing in the MLS, and the big-spending Chinese sides who can afford to match his huge wages relatively easily.

With twenty months left on his contract right now, you’d imagine there won’t be a huge transfer fee involved in his sale purely down to his age and the aforementioned big contract he is on. We’ll just have to see though, because it would be a big gamble for any club looking to purchase him.
