Manchester United made €190m offer for supreme attacker

Louis van Gaal is desperately trying to land that marquee signing at Manchester United, but up until now he has been largely unsuccessful in pursuit of a player of that calibre. One man who could fill that void is Neymar Jr, and he would be a welcome addition if we can somehow land him.

According to Cadena Cope in Spain, Manchester United did make a world record €190million approach for the 23-year old Brazilian during this transfer window, but that was immediately knocked back by the Catalan side.

You feel that at this point in time no amount of money would persuade Barcelona into selling a player like Neymar, and it’d certainly take a hefty wage packet for him to even consider moving to Manchester.

Since Edward Woodward’s arrival at United, it does seem like we’ve been wasting a lot of valuable negotiating time trying to obtain the unobtainable, and hopefully this summer will be much different.
