Manchester United manager loves pair of strikers, but knows they are unobtainable

Manchester United are a side in dire straits at the moment, with Louis van Gaal’s team without a win in eight games across all competitions. The Dutchman will be hoping for an improved 2016, and scoring some more goals must certainly be high on the list of priorities.

Louis van Gaal is after signing a big name in that position, but he has admitted defeat in pursuit of two star strikers, if reports in the Daily Mail are to be believed. Ian Ladyman says that the Iron Tulip absolutely adores both Robert Lewandowski and Edinson Cavani, but has also admitted the duo are unobtainable and won’t be leaving their current sides anytime soon.

Lewandowski is clearly loving life in Bavaria with Bayern Munich, scoring goals for fun and winning plenty of trophies. The same can be said about Cavani too, who is playing some superb football for a side who are cruising to another domestic league title.
