Manchester United not out of the title race, claims former player

Manchester United have struggled over the last few months, suffering several unexpected defeats, which have led to calls for the manager to be sacked. However the side looked much better against Stoke City, and one former man in Michael Owen hasn’t ruled United out of the title just yet.

“Manchester United are 7 points from City & 5 behind Tottenham & Arsenal. They are not totally out of the title reckoning.” Owen said.

Whilst the 36-year old is completely correct, it would take something special if United were to claim the title from here on out.

Leicester City are playing wonderfully, Manchester City look like they are hitting a purple patch just at the right time and Tottenham Hotspur simply don’t look like losing at the moment.

Putting other teams to one side, United are just too inconsistent at the moment, and they’d probably have to go near unbeaten from now until May to come close to lifting the Premier League in a few months time.
