Manchester United paying world class manager €20m a year

Manchester United will almost certainly have a new manager next season, particularly if the club fail to finish in the top four this term. Louis van Gaal’s head is certainly on the chopping block, and everyones favourite to take over is Jose Mourinho.

According to El Confidencial, Manchester United will have to pay the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ €20million a year. Jorge Mendes, his agent, is currently arranging the final details of the contract, tying him down until at least 2019.

After the two horror shows of both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal (so far), Manchester United simply cannot afford to make another failed appointment this time around. We need that manager who’ll steady the ship, and Jose Mourinho can certainly do that.

The football won’t be the most exciting, but he is a born winner and he has been desperate for the Manchester United job ever since he left Chelsea FC the first time.
