Manchester United and Luke Shaw were dealt a cruel hand when the young man was ruled out for the season with a double leg-break suffered in the first meeting of the season against PSV Eindhoven. The manager has told United fans not to get on the defenders back in the return leg this coming Wednesday.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, Louis van Gaal has confirmed that he will be looking to add a left-back in January to cover Luke Shaw until the end of the season.
The Mirror go on to say that the man on top of that list at the moment is Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez, who is making great strides in Germany despite being just 23-years old.
He’d certainly cost a pretty penny as Wolfsburg are a side that don’t need the money, and they’d only be tempted if a huge offer came in for the Switzerland international.
