Manchester United Football Club welcomed Nick Powell back to the first-team fold just before the New Year, after the 21-year old had suffered another long injury lay-off. The former Crexe Alexandra man will be chasing regular football to get his confidence back, and he could be about to get his wish.
According to The Sun, Manchester United are preparing to loan Powell out to a Championship club until the end of the season, as he looks to regain match fitness and get himself back in the swing of playing week-in week-out.
This is the ideal situation for Powell. Louis van Gaal clearly believes in the young attacking midfielder, and if he can go out for six months and stay fit whilst putting in good performances, he could well be in contention next season.
There is no doubting his talents. He shown the world what he is capable of in his debut season, and if he can get back to that level it could be like a brand new signing.
