Manchester United will have plenty of riches that they can delve deep into if they want to add new faces to the playing squad this summer, especially with the new TV rights deal kicking in starting next season. One man they’ve been looking at is Joao Mario, of Sporting Lisbon.
According to Portuguese media outlet A’Bola, Manchester United have been told that Sporting Lisbon want €60m (£45m), up front for the signature of the 23-year old Joao Mario.
They also go on to say that Manchester United will have to act quick and wrap this deal up before EURO 2016 gets underway as Sporting would prefer any move to be completed so they have time to bring in a replacement.
Mario is obviously highly regarded back in his home country, having represented the national side on eight occasions already. He’s been a vital cog in Sporting Lisbon’s side over the last eighteen months or so too, which has certainly caused plenty of European football’s so called ‘bigger clubs’ to take a look at him.
