Manchester United are ready to battle Liverpool for the signature of Christian Pulisic, according to Sport Bild, translated by the Manchester Evening News.
Th 19-year-old has been in superb form for Borussia Dortmund over the last twelve months, however, the man from the United States is considering a move to the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho is a clear admirer of Pulisic’s, having sent scouts to watch the winger play on numerous occasions, although acquiring his signature will not be easy.
Then you have to factor in United’s attacking options. Mourinho have options aplenty in the final third and honestly, I’d be surprised if we brought another winger in, particularly one who prefers to play on the left-hand side.
On top of that, he’d also be ridiculously expensive because you’d be paying for a guy who could potentially play for your club for the next decade.
Personally, I’d much prefer United to shore up the midfield first, why not take a look at Pulisic’s teammate Julian Weigl, he’d be an excellent asset to have, while freeing up Paul Pogba to affect matches in a more offensive role.
