Manchester United ready to allow loan move for another starlet on cusp of first-team

Jose Mourinho’s culling of the squad before the transfer window closes has already begun. Yesterday, moves for Paddy McNair and Donald Love were confirmed, for a combined £5.5million transfer fee. Today Adnan Januzaj became the third United player to head to Sunderland, but only on loan.

Now the Daily Mail reckon that another talented starlet could be on his way out of Old Trafford on loan. This time, Brazilian attacking midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The 20-year-old is believed to be one of eight youngsters who have been told they have no immediate future at the club, and Middlesborough are believed to be leading the chase for his signature on a short-term deal.

Pereira has always been touted as one to watch for the future, and he backed that up with a stunning goal on debut in the Capital One Cup against Ipswich Town, as he found the back of the net with a scintillating free-kick.

However, the attacking midfielder spot is an area where United have plenty of options, particularly with the likes of new-boy Henrikh Mkhitaryan coming in and Jose keeping hold of Juan Mata.

If this move goes through it could well spark his career, and give him something to build on next season.
