Manchester United Football Club have been linked with a move for Serie A star Ivan Perisic over the last few weeks, and it all went quiet on that front – until now. English media outlet talkSPORT cite reports in Italy from Calciomercato claiming that the Red Devils are preparing to make another offer to land the Croatia star.
Inter Milan apparently snubbed United’s last offer of £35million, before demanding a fee somewhere in the region of £48million if they are to be swayed into parting with 28-year-old Perisic.
Now, the aforementioned report is claiming that the Old Trafford club are ready to go back in with a huge £44million offer to tempt the Serie A side into selling one of their prized assets.
Calciomercato also states that United are not alone in pursuit of Perisic, with PSG also showing an interest in securing his services.
The winger is a typical Manchester United player. Perisic has bags of pace, loves to show off his skills and is a brilliant crosser of the football. I definitely believe that there is a spot in the team for him, particularly as nobody really locked down that left-wing spot in the side last year.
His experience could be vital in taking Jose Mourinho’s side to that next level, because we do have an awful lot of youngsters on our books, and perhaps that maturity could be a real key contributor into any potential successes we could have next year – that’s if we sign him, of course.
