Manchester United Football Club are looking to restructure their side ahead of the new Premier League season, with Jose Mourinho hoping to change the squad to fit his style. Now, another player has been linked with a move to Old Trafford under the new regime.
According to reports in Spain, Manchester United are preparing to make a colossal £47million approach for Juventus forward, Alvaro Morata.
That’s according to Marca, who say that Jose Mourinho is intent on partnering the young Spanish forward with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, he’ll have to fight off interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea.
Having scored 27 goals in 93 appearances, his goalscoring ratio leaves plenty to be desired. However, it is worth noting that more than half of those performances were from off the substitutes bench.
Alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Morata would bring some much-needed pace to the table. The thought of those two in behind the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford is a front four that could really strike fear into the eyes of defences.
