Ryan Giggs to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United? Well, stranger things have certainly happened.

The Welshman, who is currently managing his national side, has already done the United job on an interim basis don’t forget; as he took charge for four games following the end to David Moyes’ short reign at Old Trafford.

Now, Wales Online, per The Bristol Post, suggest that United are ready to replace Mourinho with the club legend – in what would be a remarkable gamble to take…

United’s last three managers have all been similar tactics-wise. They like to play on the back-foot, hoping to counter attack and score goals on the break.

Giggsy would be a refreshing idea to the table. His teams like to attack from the off, play attractive football and score goals aplenty. That’s something which would certainly the benefit the wealth of attacking options that United have on their books. Make no mistake about it.

However, it’s still early days in Giggs’ managerial career. Is he good enough to take charge at a club of United’s stature so early on? Does he have the skills to man-manage such high-profile players on a daily basis? Who knows, but there is only one way to find out…
