Manchester United’s form has dramatically improved recently, as Jose Mourinho’s style and tactics finally seem to be rubbing off on the players. That said, there are some faces who still haven’t adapted, and could well be out of Old Trafford come the end of the January transfer window.
One man who has struggled massively under the guidance of Jose is French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. The 27-year-old has been used supremely sparingly this season, and a move away could well be in his best interests.
However, Manchester United clearly aren’t planning on letting him leave on the cheap. According to the Daily Telegraph, Jose Mourinho and the board has decided to reject a £19million offer for Schneiderlin from Merseyside club Everton.
The report adds that Manchester United are taking a tough negotiating stance as they look to recoup as much of the £24million they paid for him just eighteen months ago.
At the end of the day, Schneiderlin was a brilliant player for Southampton Football Club, but really struggled to implement his game at Manchester United which has been a real shame. In my opinion, it is time for him to move elsewhere because it’s the best decision for everyone involved. He needs to be playing regularly to further his career – and he just doesn’t look good enough for the standards of Jose.
