Manchester United reject ridiculous Paul Pogba offer from FC Barcelona: report

Manchester United have rejected a ridiculous player-plus-cash offer for Paul Pogba.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who says that FC Barcelona’s offer of Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, plus £44.6million has been turned down.

Pogba has since returned to Manchester following his World Cup victory, with Barcelona trying to lure the Frenchman away from Old Trafford this summer; despite there being just over 48 hours until the transfer window slams shut in England.

As you’d imagine, the Old Trafford club have no plans to let Pogba leave during this transfer window, as he could well hold the key to United winning major silverware in the upcoming campaign.

Fair play for Barcelona in trying to bid for Pogba, but at least make the offer suitable. Why on earth would United take two players that the Catalan giants don’t want, plus less than half of the amount that it cost the Red Devils to sign the player from Juventus? It’s just sad, particularly if they’re trying to get the deal pushed over the line quickly.

It is thought that United have returned with an offer of Marouane Fellaini, Matteo Darmian and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps for Lionel Messi. More to follow…
