Manchester United reject several approaches for first-team defender

Manchester United have always been known as a club that produces their own talents, and gives them opportunities on the first-team stage. One man who broke through last term was Paddy McNair, but this year, his playing time has been limited.

That has led to doubts about his long-term future at Old Trafford, but Manchester United are clearly intent on keeping the Northern Irishman here in the North-West.

The Times say that Louis van Gaal has rejected loan offers from four Championship clubs for McNair, which indicates he is still firmly in United’s first-team plans.

Whenever called upon, the 20-year old has done a fantastic job at the heart of the defence, and he is a great option when injuries are taking their toll on the squad. He is also homegrown and an academy product, and its always brilliant seeing our own succeed in our famous red jersey.
