Juan Mata has epitomised the world-class since his arrival at Manchester United. Everybody’s favourite Spaniard is doing fantastic work with Common Goal, while always shining on the pitch when presented the opportunity.
It seems fitting that the former Chelsea attacking midfielder was at the heart of the Red Devils’ latest promotional work, with the Old Trafford club unveiling their brilliant new home kit via social media.
Adidas, yet again, have played another blinder. Inspired by the Newton Heath Railway Men, the kit is another throwback to an important chapter in United history; it was Newton Heath that the club were officially founded as, way back in 1878.

The kit itself is pretty basic, minus the black lines at the bottom of the jersey, but I’ve always found that the plainer-looking kits tend to be the nicest
United’s official release video is a stroke of genius, and no doubt this will majorly touch home with those living in and around Manchester. Sometimes, it’s not just about the end-product, it’s often about the history behind things. No doubt Red Devils fans will be buying this at a rapid rate before the big kick-off against Leicester City next month.
