Manchester United could have just secured the services of one of the best defensive talents we’ve ever seen at Carrington. According to the Daily Mail, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has agreed to sign a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman burst onto the scene last term, as he shown the Premier League just how capable he is at the highest level already. However, a pre-season injury means he goes into the campaign severely lacking in match fitness – but firmly a part of Jose Mourinho’s squad.
It is great news to learn that Fosu-Mensah has penned a new deal keeping him here, because it means he can concentrate solely on his football rather than contractual issues.
Fosu-Mensah is extremely quick which is hugely important in the modern day, and on top of that he is a more than capable defender, with the ability to play at centre-back, right-back and even in the midfield if the manager so chooses.
