Manchester United send scouts to watch midfielder in Ligue 1

Manchester United will certainly be looking to spend big over the summer, with Louis van Gaal hoping to significantly add to his squad before next term. According to the Daily Mail, one man on his radar is Rennes’ latest academy talent, Ousmane Dembele.

The 18-year old forward has made a big impression in Ligue 1 this season, scoring nine goals in his eighteen games so far and has attracted interest from big clubs all over Europe – including United.

It certainly won’t be easy to land his signature however, as the Daily Mail go on to say that there were no fewer than five clubs with scouts in attendance at the Lyon vs Rennes game this weekend.

At the end of the day though, there would be no better place for a youngster to learn his trade than at Old Trafford as Manchester United are a club with a rich history of promoting and developing talents.
