Manchester United could be about to complete a sensational swap deal with Turkish side Galatasaray, that’s according to the latest reports coming out of the Eastern European country. Askam say that Marouane Fellaini is set to be used as a part-exchange.
The big Belgian is believed to be wanted by Galatasaray, who are willing to offer Wesley Sneijder in exchange for the 28-year-old.
It has always felt like links to Wesley Sneijder crop up every summer, but this season it could eventually happen. Jose Mourinho worked with the Dutch attacking midfielder for a few years whilst at Inter Milan, and the pair formed a real bond.
Jose would probably see it as killing two birds with one stone. Not only is he getting a player more than capable of suiting his style of play, it’ll also mean Marouane Fellaini out of the exit door.
There would be a real question mark over Sneijder’s age, though, as at 32 he isn’t getting any younger and his best years are certainly behind him.
