Manchester United set to welcome vital man back to line-up for derby day

The Manchester derby is on the horizon now, as Manchester United and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head for the second and final time of the campaign. Last time around, the blues came to Old Trafford and won 2-1, so Mourinho will be keen to avenge that defeat.

Ahead of that game, ESPN FC have given us a huge boost, as they expect Antonio Valencia to return to the starting line-up, following his absence from the squad against Burnley over the weekend.

The Ecuador international really has turned into a key player for us this season, and I’d go as far as labelling him the best right-back in the league, and quite comfortably too.

On both sides of the ball, he’s just insane and a lot of that comes down to his pace coupled with an ability to work tirelessly for the duration of any match.

Although both Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young have done pretty well there whilst acting as cover, they aren’t even close to Valencia’s ability. It’s good to have him back, particularly against such a dynamic Manchester City front line.

It’s not often that I feel confident heading into an away derby, but we’re playing some ncie stuff right now and I think we can come away with a positive result and hopefully, leapfrog our noisy neighbours in the table.
