It’s that time of year when new transfer rumours keep popping up, to fill the void before the new season gets underway. The latest report links Manchester United with an offer for one of the best strikers on the planet in Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.
That’s according to Italian media outlet Tuttosport (translated via Sport Witness), who say that the Uruguayan forward is still unsettled with life in the French capital.
Cavani, who is now 29, is believed to have two offers on the table from Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea.
It seems that this rumour always crops up every summer, but honestly, I cannot see Cavani leaving Paris – especially now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks all set to be confirmed as a Manchester United player.
It just wouldn’t make sense for the club to bring in both Ibrahimovic and Cavani, and not only that, it would be extremely expensive. So take this rumour with a pinch of salt for now, and let’s see how it develops.
