Manchester United sponsors plan massive double swoop to turn club around

Manchester United Football Club are clearly doing all they can to bring in a marquee signing, as well as testing the waters regarding the world class managers who could well be available this coming summer. And if Marca’s latest reports are true, we could be in for a huge shock.

The Spanish publication say that Manchester united’s main kit sponsors, Adidas, are planning to dig deep into their pockets to bring both Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola to Old Trafford over the summer.

Adidas are one of the biggest sports brands in the world and they clearly have the money to do so, but it seems slightly farfetched, particularly in the case of Lionel Messi.

We could well see Pep Guardiola in the Old Trafford dugout next term but I find it extremely difficult to see Messi playing for anyone but FC Barcelona. Personally I’d take this one with a pinch of salt for now…
