Unfortunately, England are coming home. It’s not all sad news, though. The Three Lions gave us something to remember. Something to embrace. Something to be proud of.
Gareth Southgate has changed international football in this country, for the better. All credit must go his way, and it’s brilliant to see him taking all the plaudits.
Amongst those praising Southgate, none other than Marcus Rashford. The young forward took to Twitter to post a heartfelt message to his gaffer, claiming he’s brought the love of football (international) back for everyone. Those are some inspirational words from a man of such tender age.
You’ve brought belief and the love of football back. Thank you boss from the whole nation ❤️⚽️ pic.twitter.com/2meUAFlIN5

For Rashford, he’ll get plenty more opportunities to don the Three Lions on his chest in future. Although, I’m not sure they’ll be a better chance to go all the way. With that said, this group is young and learning, the world is at their feet. With Southgate at the helm, anything can happen.
The 20-year-old will return to Old Trafford hungrier than ever. Hopefully, United’s superstar striker continues developing and growing at the same rapid rate, because if he does, 2018/19 is sure to be his best season yet.
