Manchester United have given debuts to a whole host of youth products this season, and thats something Louis van Gaal certainly deserves credit for. One man who has made a brilliant impact is Timothy Fosu-Mensah, and his displays have now been rewarded with a national call-up.
Holland named their preliminary squad for their upcoming friendlies against Ireland, Poland and Australia, and that is certainly a huge confidence booster for the 18-year old defender.
At first it was thought that Timothy Fosu-Mensah was going to be in the middle of a battle between both Ghana and Holland due to having dual nationalities, but it seems as though the Oranje have won the race so they’ll see the young man turn out for them.
Even if he doesn’t make the full squad once it is narrowed down by Danny Blind, it shows that what work he is doing over at Manchester United is being recognised. If he continues up his form, he’ll be a certainty to make Holland’s squad for the European Championships which would be another brilliant experience for him.
