Manchester United have added Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club this summer, and in Jose Mourinho’s typical system, he only plays with one striker. That means the possibility of the club selling a forward is increasingly likely, and we could have just been informed who may be sold.
That’s according to The Sun, who say that former Manchester United manager David Moyes is ready to make a move for William Keane, in a deal worth a reported £6.5million.
Keane, now 23, has been plagued by injuries since making his debut for the first-team four years ago now, and hasn’t really had a long stint in the side to prove his worth. That has led to loan moves away, and those haven’t really worked out.
Now Keane has gone on pre-season tour with Manchester United but has found his minutes limited. Perhaps a permanent move away to a club who can offer him regular playing time would be extremely beneficial for all involved.
