Manchester United suffer injury blow as operation needed for 23-year old

Manchester United’s injury problems have been well documented over the last couple of weeks, with Louis van Gaal having multiple concerns in several areas of the field. The latest setback is to our academy product striker Will Keane, who picked up an injury in the 3-0 win over Shrewsbury.

Now Louis van Gaal has confirmed that the striker will need surgery to fix the injury, which is a huge shame.

“I have Rooney, I have Martial, I have Rashford,” Van Gaal said. “I had Will Keane but Keane is injured and will be operated on. When I have more players, I will rotate.”

This is a massive shame for Will Keane himself more than anyone else. With the squad looking extremely thin on the ground, his big chance was certainly about to come. Now it looks like he is done for the season, and unfortunately that could be curtains on his Manchester United career altogether.
