After failing to land Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona, Manchester United’s attentions have turned to another attacking player – Felipe Anderson of Lazio, a 22-year old attacking midfielder who’s stock in the game really rose last season.
Manchester United have been linked with Anderson before, but according to ESPN, Louis van Gaal is ready to up that interest as the manager is keen to bolster his attacking options before the transfer deadline at 6pm on September 1st.
Anderson was one of the key factors in Lazio reaching the Champions League last year, as he scored the goals and added seven assists in the league last season.
Obviously Lazio want to keep hold of their newest prodigy but if Manchester United come calling it may be too good to turn down. The fee being mentioned is somewhere around the £35million mark which could be considered a risk given that he has no Premier League experience and he is still developing his game.
