Manchester United to begin new contract talks with striker

Manchester United Football Club are ready to offer Marcus Rashford a new contract prematurely, after the young Mancunian burst onto the scene scoring four goals in his first two games at Old Trafford. The Daily Mail say he’ll be handed a £15,000-a-week deal, which is a massive 900% increase.

Its incredible to think that we couldn’t even be talking about his heroics if it wasn’t for an injury to Anthony Martial during the warm-up in midweek, and Marcus Rashford certainly grabbed his chance with both hands.

All credit to him as well, and its brilliant to see our youngsters performing so well at such a high level. One man who deserves plenty of praise for the way our academy graduates are performing is the U21s manager Warren Joyce – he is doing a fantastic job at harnessing their talents and not letting the players get ahead of themselves, which in turn sets them up to come into the first-team mix right away and work wonders.
