According to the Express, Manchester United are ‘rushing’ to make a bid for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira. Real are trying to offload the German international, as the Champions League winners prepare to try and prise Ramires away from Chelsea.
The Express claim that United are preparing to make a £20million bid for Khedira, who played an excellent part in Germany’s 4-0 demolition of Portugal at the World Cup on Monday evening.
At 27, Khedira is at the peak of his powers and he certainly could come in and do a job for Manchester United. He does the dirty work that other players don’t like doing, and he epitomises the term ‘box to box midfielder’.
I’d be happy if we managed to lure him to Old Trafford, but personally I’d prefer Schweinsteiger or a fully fit Strootman.
