Manchester United’s long list of reported transfer targets got bigger again this morning, as we were linked with yet another Southampton starlet – Morgan Schneiderlin. The 24-year old has been a mainstay in the Saints side for six years, and has played as low as the third tier of English football.
United have already been heavily linked with Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw ahead of the transfer window, and Schneiderlin becomes the third player from the high-flying Saints link with Moyes’ new Manchester United regime.
The Mirror reckon United are seriously interested in the French international, as David Moyes wants to purchase younger players who have Premier League experience to build his team around.
He’s a player I’d certainly welcome at Old Trafford, alongside the aforementioned Shaw and Lallana. He’d cost a pretty penny though, with a reported fee of around £15m being touted by the media.
Schneiderlin has represented France at every youth level, but is yet to break into the full international side.
