Manchester United to ‘pull the plug’ on Cristiano Ronaldo move

Manchester United have decided to cancel any potential move they had in place for former club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. According to The Metro, the deal has cooled because United are worried that Ronaldo’s arrival will upset the huge superstars at the club already, including Wayne Rooney, Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria.

Ronaldo will be thirty next summer, and his best days are probably behind him at the end of this season. There are also major concerns about an ongoing knee problem that could even end his career if he doesn’t get it sorted sooner rather than later, according to Sky Sports News’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

It is understood that Ronaldo wants £300,000-a-week to return to Old Trafford, which is why some of the current crop of stars could potentially be upset with the former Sporting Lisbon man. However, he has an extremely close relationship with Angel Di Maria, so I highly doubt the composed Argentine will have any problem with him whatsoever.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United has appeared in the paper every time the Portugal international gets upset at something in Madrid, so I’d take this rumour with a pinch of salt for the time being.
