Manchester united travel to Crystal Palace on Monday, in a Premier League game that’ll give the Red Devils an opportunity to cement their place as ‘the best of the rest’ behind City.
However, United’s and Jose Mourinho’s task got a whole lot harder, as the Old Trafford club will be heading south without three players due to injury.
The manager confirmed that Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Phil Jones will all miss out, leaving United particularly thin in the defensive third of the field.

Rojo had returned from the devastating ACL injury he suffered last April, but perhaps he was brought back too quickly. He’s now out injured again and who knows when he’ll be back in action.
As for Blind, well, he’s barely played any football this term and I genuinely believe he could well be sold in the summer. Jones has struggled since the turn of the year and it’s frustrating. Just when you feel the Englishman has turned a corner, he get’s injured again and that sends him back to square one.
Spare a thought for Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who I still believe could have had a role to play for United this season…
